did NOT want to get up this morning
Well, today it was back to work for Miss Mary. When the alarm button went off at 6:45 am, I thought, hmmmmm, snooze button. As I drove along I-10 with the three other people who had to be at work today, I sighed and wondered why I had to go to an office and sit at a computer for 4 hours when everyone else got off today???!!! Even worse, everyone else in my office decided to take a personal leave day as well, so I'm really all by myself. On the plus side, that means I don't actually have to work... At least I only work in the mornings and I don't have to stay here all day. If that was the case, I would probably have to develop a severe case of shingles or some such disease and leave at lunchtime, not to return for the rest of the day. Haha, if only. Well, happy new year everyone, and remember: if you get to sleep in--enjoy it!

Amen! Why be at work when nobody else is? The students are gone... Everyone else is sleeping... Really, who's going to be thinking about study abroad from the week before Christmas to the week after New Years - nobody. But now, the week before school starts, most of my students are panicked because they've finally realized they're leaving the country. Sheesh. Yes, you need a passport.
